'Your Sales' is an advertising service designed to connect sellers and potential buyers. However, modernedition is unable to provide any guarantees regarding items listed or the honesty of sellers involved.
As with any advertisement, buyers should take extreme care before parting with money.
We would recommend purchase only if you are able to view in person, but if this is impossible, take steps to firmly establish a seller's identity before buying.
Correspond by regular mail as well as email so that you have access to the seller's home address. Speak by telephone - a home landline as well as a cell or mobile.
Sellers should volunteer as much information as possible and again, exercise due care before parting with goods.
Purchases agreed to in writing are a legal contract, and any breach of this contract can be pursued in a court.
Legal procedures vary internationally, however; for example, US buyers need to be aware that Small Claims can only be brought in the State where a seller is domiciled, a potentially expensive procedure.

modernedition will never knowingly reveal personal information or use such details in any way other than to provide notification of interest from buyers to sellers.
In this case, the email address and name provided by a potential buyer is forwarded directly to the seller.

We reserve the right not to publish details of items submitted and will specifically not feature any item that appears, in our opinion, to be fake or fraudulent.
Nevertheless, we are unable to vouch for the authenticity or provenance of items advertised by sellers other than ourselves.
modernedition cannot be held responsible for the authenticity, nature or condition of items listed in, or purchased from, the 'Your Sales' section of this site, nor for disputes regarding payment, postage, or any matter arising from enquiries regarding the sale or published listing of an advertised item.
Likewise, we cannot be responsible for damage, loss or theft of items offered for sale, or any dispute arising from their purchase.
We strongly advise buyers and sellers to take all due care with regard to authenticity, price, postage requirements, payments, etc.
If in any doubt regarding a transaction, do not proceed with

14 day advertising period
All submissions will be given a 14 day advertising period for a one-off fee of $15. If submitters wish to extend this period without re-submitting items, we will need to be contacted at least 3 days prior to the end of the original listing.
In the unlikely event that downtime occurs during the listing period, and this downtime is verifiably the fault of modernedition.com, the listing will be extended appropriately. If downtime should exceed 5 hours, refunds can be provided upon request.
