Born in Germany in 1968, Scheibitz has emerged as one
of the most important artists of his generation.
His paintings, photographs and
sculptures seem to resolve a series of contradictions. For example, abstracted forms combine
with at least one recognisable object, color is both vibrant and dull.
Such apparent incongruities make for a fascinating and extremely individual
artist, whose work is immediately recognisable.
