about this artist

Born in Arizona, USA in 1957, Pettibon took a degree in Economics before embarking on a career as a professional artist.

For many years a cult figure associated with the LA rock scene, Pettibon's output of underground artist's books, posters and flyers were 'legitimised' in the 1990s with the appearance of large-scale gallery works and a series of major international retrospectives.
