about this artist
British artist Mark Titchner was born in 1973 and graduated from Central
St Martin's College of Art and Design, London, in 1995.
A Turner Prize nominee in 2006, Titchner is fascinated with the ways in which formerly avant-garde philosophies
become assimilated into mainstream culture, and frequently references
cult theorists and their texts.
His work is produced in a range of media including sculpture, wall paintings,
light boxes and banners.
