about this artist

While apparently partaking of the 'anti-monumental' movement in which ordinary household items and bric-a-brac are favoured materials, Hudson's sculpture is often very monumental indeed.

Ranging from immense tableaux constructed of cardboard boxes, life-size military tanks built of lumber or absurd kinetic installations, Hudson's celebrated works combine a DIY aesthetic with spectacle and humour.
