Peter Peri creates geometric structures by repeatedly drawing, then effacing, coloured lines on darker backgrounds.
Peri's work involves obvious references to geometric abstraction, but a further link to modernist movements is provided by the artist's own ancestry.
His grandfather was Laszlo Peri (1899-1967), a Hungarian emigré to Britain who was associated with the constructivist movement before later turning to more figurative painting.
